Wendy Nestrud
Wendy Nestrud began learning piano as a child; yet, she went on to study nursing and worked in a neonatal intensive care unit for a few years. She then rediscovered her love for piano and obtained her bachelor’s degree in music performance at Metropolitan State College of Denver. She did some graduate study at University of Colorado in Boulder.
Wendy has worked in churches, at schools for concerts and musicals, and set up intimate recitals with fellow musicians. Currently Wendy teaches privately, accompanies a local youth choir, and collaborates with other local musicians.
When she is not playing or practicing, she enjoys knitting, reading, master’s swimming, and training for triathlons in the spring and summer. Wendy is very excited to be taking part in the Intermezzo Chamber Music Sessions this year.
