Intermezzo Chamber Music Sessions

Testimonials

Intermezzo Class of 2006

I really loved starting each day with yoga! I liked how you could practice your instrument with your group and have somebody helping you. Then you could experiment and work on your own in your group session without your teacher. It was fun eating lunch outside and playing with friends. Sometimes it was hard playing my instrument that much, but at the end of the week I felt like I had become a much better player. I’m glad I did it!”

There were tons of good things about Intermezzo. I really liked practicing with my duo partner while one or two teachers watched. The teachers worked with us by making suggestions, but they would let you have a choice if there was more than one way to do something. I liked the music selected for me. I enjoyed listening to the other kids play in masterclasses. I looked up to the older kids and how good they were; I hope to play that well one day."

—Dayna, pianist

My daughter’s rapid progress in the camp was impressive, particularly the careful attention she developed for dynamics and also her ability to coordinate her playing with her partner. The final performance evening was inspirational: our daughter was one of the youngest participants, and as we listened to the progression of the musicians, we had a glimpse of the skill she may achieve over the next few years. Thank you for bringing this opportunity to our community.”
